Can be fully disassembled for cleaning.
Hand wash only - do not use dishwasher. Heat from dishwasher may deform parts.
If it becomes difficult to reset (push) the bottom assembly down in the container, apply a very thin layer of flour or powdered sugar on the outer part of the seal where it touches the clear container. The seal may have increased friction due to soap residue, moisture or age.
To disassemble the bottom assembly:

Move the Lever to the vertical position to release the tension and remove the Seal.

Close the gap where the seal was by holding the Panel Top and Panel Bottom together.

With the lever in the vertical position push it towards the Panel Bottom. Then slide the lever along the Horizontal Slot to remove. There is a one-way slot that holds the lever. It only slides out in one direction.

Reverse the steps above to reassemble. The side of the seal with the groove face up. Push assembly down the container slowly. It also helps to push down on each end, alternating sides.
